ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
Design Group was formed in 1985 by a core group of architects, designers and support staff whose experience encompasses a wide variety of design concepts and technical skills. The basic premise of our operation is to maintain a small office, preserving the original working concept of this core group, which is to stay fully involved with each client and each project. Occasionally, when project requirements dictate, we will partner with other professionals to handle areas of specialization. Many of these professionals have been with us since the inception of our business.
The focus of our client service is to provide excellence in design and technical production while maintaining the flexibility needed to address the realities of each project and its budget. Preferred client relations are direct, interactive and relaxed through a mutual understanding of shared results. Our level of commitment is based upon a simple premise regardless of the size or complexity of a particular project; We Listen!
We are fully computerized and progressive in nature and always looking for new styles of projects of traditional or innovative form. Materials, construction methods and their related costs are considered in their most practical sense during the initial design phases, thus giving greater possibility of project construction within specified budgets.

After many years of providing traditional architectural services we had become increasingly aware of various problems encountered during the construction phase based upon the traditional methods of project delivery.
Traditionally, the design professional and the building trades are disconnected during the design, estimating and construction phases of a project causing a lack of communication and/or cooperation with each other. The owner is usually caught in the middle as common problems such as cost overruns, time extensions, personal and contractual disagreements develop.
Finding this unacceptable and unnecessary, our firm expanded its service base in 1994 and has since offered complete Design/Build services for our residential and commercial clients. This eliminates the multiple sources of information, lack of communication and directs the client to a single point of responsibility, the Architect/Builder, or, as known in the past, the Master Builder.
This form of service will save you time, money and headaches and is proving to be the most efficient and cost effective way of project delivery in today's competitive markets.

Continuing to educate members of our company is essential to the lasting success of our firm. Staff membership in various organizations, including The American Institute of Architects, offers opportunities for individuals to increase their knowledge of developing trends in design as well as the technical and legal aspects of our business.
We hold membership in a number of community and business organizations to advance and assist the progress of state and local issues that are favorable to the business community, providing assistance whenever possible.
